Happy Easter!

Oh, Easter Break... the bonus of going to a Catholic institution! Considering how lazy I am when it's not vacation, I accomplished a lot! Highlights:

*Driving from Milwaukee to Madison without a rear windshield... it's like a convertible for poor people!
*Crafted my end of the year NRHH presents (perhaps my manliest project to date. It involved trips to the hardware store!)
*Learned 5 new recipes (My aunt is addicted to Food Network.)
*Purchased airplane tickets (business class!) and Eurail tickets for trip to Europe with Liz. We decided on 16 days, because that's all she can afford (and she didn't want the trip to interfere with her, shall we say: "menses"), that is, until we're invited on several yachts on the French Riviera. "But I've never been to me...."
*Oh, yeah, and the next three years of my life are completely financed! Not too shabby, eh?

So, all things considered, I have every right to be exhausted. Hell, just spending four days with my loving family is enough to want to hibernate for a year. But, hey, if there's one thing about my family, it's the good stories:

*Being in a car with Mother for a total of 12.5 hours. Between listening to "Wicked" about 6 times, and demanding beef jerky every 5 minutes, I'm surprised she didn't make me walk.
* Mother: "The carpet matched the curtains!" (Literally, in reference to our aunt's first apartment... as Elizabeth and I collapsed onto the floor, doing our best not to make all the jokes we wanted, since we were in the presence of our aunts and younger cousin. I actually fell out of my chair and was in tears, while Elizabeth felt a trickle, but made it to the bathroom in time... thank God!)
* Aunt Mimi: "Now, Andrew, don't take this the wrong way, but you were a pedophile's dream." (What, exactly, is the right way to take that???)
*Brainstorming possible slogans and designs for our custom-tee shirts for the Europe trip, including my personal fave: "We put the rash in White Trash!"

So, Easter is finally here. Which means, I'm going to dive into a kiddie-pool of Starbucks' treats! I'm really going to need it to get through these last few weeks of school. Frustrating how badly I want to be far, far away from here. To end on a happy note, since I didn't give up candy or other sweets, this is the first Lent in 3 years that I haven't lost weight! Woooohooo!
